Hey guys! If you're true crime junkies like we are, then join me and Steph every other Wednesday for new episodes! We mix a splash of humor with our own take on small town crimes. We will tell you stories of murders from our home town, and the surrounding areas...crimes that often don't make the news, but their stories should still be told. We also have episodes called, The Doc Shop, where we will cover true crime documentaries, and a brand new series called the Survivor Series where we will interview survivors of violent crimes. Episode 14 - "Because My Dad Didn't"
This is the chilling story of the murder of fifty-nine year old Jill Atchison. On August 31st, 2019, in the small town of Levelland, Texas, thirty-six year old Jeremy Atchison arrived at his mother Jill's house, looking for money. He ended up murdering his mother, and then fleeing the scene. Jill, who was described as "a soul that was worth more than gold", was a beloved dance instructor in Levelland for over 30 years, so this loss cut deep within the community. This story is just more proof that this country needs easier access to mental health resources, and more focus on rehabilitation.
